Based on your days walking the trails, smelling the flowers or lying in the cool grass, is there anything the Parks Department could improve when it comes to park planning, management, and maintenance?

As I am between jobs, I spend a lot of time on my bicycle riding the trails throughout the city, and enjoying the scenery. And as I ride along I notice that most, not all, of the playgrounds are empty. I believe the reasons for this are as follows: 1. Parents don't have the time or can't be bothered to take their children to the parks. (required in this day and age.) 2. Kids would rather play with their electronic games or text on their cells, or 3. spend hours a day on 'social sites' on their computers. 4. the more…

Don't take away any green spaces that are there already.
Specifically I refer to the building of a new street in the Bower area, right beside Piper Creek. Isn't this the same creek that has caused erosion problems for the houses on Spruce Drive? And causes the portions of the Red Deer Lodge to keep slipping towards the creek? Walk along the south hallway of the hotel and you can see the walls and floor are visibly slanted. Isn't this likely to cause problems for the houses being built in Bower, and they are very close to the creek. And it appears that the houses projected to be built in Southbrook on the other side of the creek are just as close.
Secondly, why is the city building on current green spaces that have been park for decades running along Bower?
This just does not make sense.

Maybe some winter you'll clean the snow from 3 Mile Bend trails. You clean/plow the riverside trail that no one uses in the winter but not trails in the park.
Pretty sad..

Expand 3 mile bend trails or extend no-leash limits to the riverside trails between the campground and 3 mile bend - it only takes half an hour to complete the entire 3 mile bend loop which is not a decent walk for man or beast. I've tried repeating loops, but that's a bit boring and you end up seeing the same people over and over. It is a long way to drive simply for a walk with the dog, but I value the quality of an unfettered walk for my dog. It woud just be nice to make it more worthwhile.
